HAEE strengthens collaboration with International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) to lead sustainable waste management initiatives in Hungary as a key member of the global organisation.
The International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) is a global leader in promoting sustainable waste management and circular economy practices. As ISWA’s official representative in Hungary, the Hungarian Association of Environmental Enterprises is dedicated to facilitating collaboration between ISWA and local stakeholders. One of the key initiatives is the upcoming FUTURE FORWARD: Circular economy and Waste Management conference, taking place on October 3rd during the ENVIRONTEC powered by ÖKOINDUSTRIA expo in Budapest. This conference will bring together experts and organizations from across the region to discuss critical issues in waste management, recycling, and environmental protection, aligning with ISWA’s mission to foster global solutions. This conference will serve as an important platform for exchanging insights, showcasing innovative projects, and driving progress in waste management across Southeast Europe.
The ISWA-HAEE partnership ensures that Hungary remains connected to international developments in waste management. By sharing ISWA’s knowledge and resources through working groups and events like the ENVIRONTEC expo, HAEE plays a crucial role in advancing sustainable practices.
The South-East European Chapter (SEE+): As Hungary is one of the chapter countries, HAEE discussing cooperation opportunities in the region, and initiating joint EU projects to tackle river pollution and to enhance the deleopment of sound waste management.
