Over 12,400 actions on reduce, reuse, recycle and clean-ups ready to take place for the EWWR 2021!

The European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) is back for another intensive week of awareness-raising events from 20 to 28 November 2021.

For its 13th edition, 12,489 actions related to waste reduction, sharing economy, products reuse and repair, materials recycling, as well as clean-ups will be carried out across 30 countries in Europe and beyond.

The EWWR 2021 in numbers

The EWWR is a leading international campaign to promote waste prevention during a single week in November. It brings together participants from various backgrounds – schools, public administrations, companies, NGOs but also citizens – to organise awareness-raising actions at their level: local, regional, national, and even international. The objective of these actions is to change the behaviour surrounding consumption patterns and waste generation habits with the aim of contributing to reach waste and climate targets.

In 2021, 12,489 actions will be carried out with the help of 38 national and regional coordinators in 30 countries.
